The Dupont company was founded in 1802 by the French Eleuthere Irénée du Pont in the state of Delaware, United States. It is a scientific company that, based on the most advanced technologies in chemistry and science, provides solutions to industries that in one way or another make a difference in people's lives in areas such as: Food and Nutrition, Healthcare, Textiles and Apparel, Home and Construction, Electronics and Transportation. In 2004, the Synthetic Paper was invited to participate in the annual contest of "INNOVATION AND INVENTION OF PLASTIC PACKAGING" organized by this company worldwide, and was proudly favored with one of the awards, being on that occasion Colombia the only one country winner of that award in Latin America.
